Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Burgess (ranked 5874 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Bones (ranked 5116 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonard Burgess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Bones!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgess misses with a hook.
A left and a right from Burgess both land. Nice combination.
Burgess just misses with a punch to the body.
Burgess dives in and grabs Bones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bones pushes down on Burgess's head and hops out.
Bones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burgess as he jumps to the side.
Burgess displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bones.
A jab from Bones finds it's way through Burgess's defenses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burgess misses with the combination.
Burgess dives in for a single leg takedown but Bones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Burgess shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Burgess wants to stand but Bones has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Burgess thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Burgess is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bones is just riding it out for now. Burgess eventually gives up the hold.

Burgess is looking to control Bones's arms but Bones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Burgess has his back to the cage.

Burgess got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burgess has managed to get both his arms back between Bones's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Burgess connects with a couple of short punches.
Bones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Bones looking for a sweep. Not yet Bones, not yet.
Burgess has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Burgess loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burgess trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Bones is trying to keep Burgess in close.

Burgess changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bones tries to avoid it but Burgess manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bones to the ground. Bones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Burgess tries to land a front kick but Bones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Burgess moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBones.

Bones gets caught napping as Burgess dives in and scores a takedown. Bones manages to retain guard.

Bones has his feet on Burgess's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Bones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burgess is fending him off so far but Bones persists. Nope, Burgess circles away and we're back to standing.

Bones shoots in looking for a takedown. Burgess tries to sprawl out of it but Bones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burgess manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bones wants to get back to striking at distance but Burgess won't allow it.
Burgess could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bones just leaning against Burgess, taking a breather.

Burgess is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bones can't fight it off and eventually Burgess manages to take the fight to the floor. Bones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bones manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Leonard Burgess has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Bones.
Bones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burgess is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Burgess breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Leonard Burgess is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bones has had enough of the clinch but Burgess keeps him there for the moment.
Bones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burgess walks away with a smile on his face. Bones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Burgess has his feet on Bones's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Leonard Burgess will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bones! But no joy.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looked like Burgess was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Bones.

Jimmy Bones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Leonard Burgess is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burgess avoids it really well and circles away.

I would just about give that final round to Jimmy Bones.
I think Burgess has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
