Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Craig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Kozma!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozma wants to clinch.
Kozma looks to clinch

and Craig counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kozma bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Craig's guard.

Kozma lands a couple of elbows.

Craig is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kozma defends well.
Kozma trying to control but Craig is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Craig avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Craig keeping moving, preventing Kozma from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kozma throws a big right hand that misses.
Craig knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kozma on the ground.
Craig has Kozma pulled in close to control his posture.
Kozma looking to sit in guard and control but Craig gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Kozma is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kozma is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kozma has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kozma is trying to control the position but Craig postures up.
Craig loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kozma holds on and takes a little breather.
Kozma tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kozma is pulling down on Craig's head to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kozma wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Craig is now in half guard.
Kozma gets back to full guard.

Kozma looking for a guillotine here but Craig defends easily.
Kozma is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kozma is on top in guard.

Kozma trying to control but Craig is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Kozma dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kozma fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Craig manages to avoid it.
Kozma stuffs the takedown attempt from Craig. Craig gets slowly back to his feet.
Craig takes one on the button.
Kozma tries to close the distance and clinch but Craig swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jab by Kozma.
Kozma misses the jab.
Kozma lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Craig circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Craig keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kozma.
Kozma doesn't manage to clinch there - Craig circles away.
Kozma connects with a right hand. Craig shakes it off.


Craig is rocked!
Kozma ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Craig out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Kozma!
After the fight, David Kozma was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
