The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diemomd jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Owens blocks a jab.
Diemomd swings for the body but Owens moves out of range.
Owens slips a jab from Diemomd.
Owens fails with a takedown attempt.
Diemomd wants to slow Owens down by chopping away at his legs.
Owens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diemomd's guard.
Owens content to stall in guard here.
Diemomd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Owens on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Owens might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Owens content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Owens is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diemomd knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Owens is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Diemomd will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Diemomd wants to get back to his feet but Owens is dominant here and he's now got Diemomd's back!

Owens has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Diemomd's body.
Owens is continuing to stall.

Owens has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Diemomd! Can he survive? No! He's out! Owens gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
