Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Martin (ranked 2724 p4p, 300 weight class) and Austin Smith (ranked 1643 p4p, 209 weight class). Frank Martin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Austin Smith!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Smith continues to drive forward.
Martin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Martin manages to avoid it.
Martin looks for the body kick but Smith saw that one coming.
Horrible takedown attempt by Martin or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith, which made it look bad.
Martin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Martin. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.

Martin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the ropes. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
