The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Timmoy tries to clinch but Van Damme is having none of it.

Timmoy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Van Damme walks away with a smile on his face. Timmoy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Manoy Timmoy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jean Van Damme.
