Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Davey Kavanaugh (ranked 5742 p4p, 436 weight class) and Marco Soprano (ranked 4478 p4p, 406 weight class). Marco Soprano is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kavanaugh clinches.
Soprano wants to get back to striking at distance but Kavanaugh won't allow it.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kavanaugh in particular looking to stall.
Soprano really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kavanaugh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kavanaugh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Soprano for as long as he can get away with.
