Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aran Ryan (ranked 1793 p4p, 238 weight class) and Spude Pulkkinen (ranked 1531 p4p, 206 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Spude Pulkkinen enters the cage!

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulkkinen throws a sloppy head kick
and Ryan counters with a leg kick.
Pulkkinen throws a hook but Ryan avoids it easily.
A left and a right from Ryan both land. Nice combination.
Ryan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pulkkinen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ryan digs a good body shot into Pulkkinen's ribs.

Pulkkinen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ryan moves out of range of the leg kick from Pulkkinen.
Ryan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pulkkinen has time to react.

Pulkkinen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pulkkinen swings away with a leg kick that misses.

As Pulkkinen backs away, Ryan returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Pulkkinen lands with a hook. Ryan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Pulkkinen throws a leg kick which misses Ryan's front leg but catches the back leg as Ryan tries to avoid it.
Ryan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pulkkinen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pulkkinen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ryan was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulkkinen.
Pulkkinen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ryan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Ryan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Pulkkinen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ryan's calf.
Pulkkinen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ryan throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A nice inside leg kick there by Pulkkinen. That's going to slow Ryan down.
Pulkkinen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ryan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pulkkinen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Ryan lands a big right hand that sends Pulkkinen crashing to the mat! Ryan stays standing though and waves Pulkkinen back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ryan lands a slapping body shot.

Ryan cracks Pulkkinen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ryan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pulkkinen to stand back up!

Pulkkinen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ryan's head.

An attempted straight right counter from Ryan misses the target.
Pulkkinen throws an off balance right hand
and Ryan scores with a counter punch that sends Pulkkinen to the canvas! Ryan smells blood - he's punishing Pulkkinen with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Pulkkinen has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
