Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Robertson (ranked 3588 p4p, 403 weight class) and Twistan Breakum (ranked 2737 p4p, 330 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Twistan Breakum!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breakum with a lazy takedown attempt
and Robertson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Breakum thinking.

Robertson moves into the clinch.
Breakum wants a takedown.
Breakum tries to throw a body punch but Robertson avoids it by throwing Breakum back against the cage.
Breakum tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Robertson smiles and moves away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Breakum has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Chris Robertson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Twistan Breakum.

Breakum gets a clinch.
Breakum misses with the head strike.
Breakum tries to pull guard but Robertson holds him up against the cage and eventually Breakum drops back down to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robertson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Robertson controls Breakum momentarily but Breakum frees himself.

Breakum throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Robertson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Breakum postures up in Robertson's guard and throws a big left but Robertson blocks it.

Breakum wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position.
Robertson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Breakum is looking for a triangle here but Robertson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Breakum is trying to control Robertson's posture but Robertson avoids it.

Breakum is looking for a sweep.
Breakum manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Robertson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Breakum tries to get to full guard but Robertson has control of the leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Breakum is still trying to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Robertson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Breakum is trying to drag Robertson to the mat but Robertson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Breakum has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Robertson after a bit of a struggle.

Robertson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Breakum gets tackled into the cage by Robertson. Robertson maintains the clinch.
Breakum is trying to pull guard but Robertson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Robertson has control of Breakum's left arm, preventing Breakum from doing any damage.

Breakum drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Robertson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Breakum has Robertson in his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Breakum looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Robertson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Breakum is keeping the position for now.
Breakum wants to improve his position but instead Robertson has moved into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Breakum tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Robertson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Breakum quickly recovers to half guard.

Breakum is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Breakum doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Breakum had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Robertson defends it easily.
Robertson stays in close to Breakum's body and controls the position.

Breakum is looking for a triangle but Robertson pushes his legs off easily.
Twistan Breakum has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Breakum has an active guard here but Robertson has managed to pass into half guard.
Breakum is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Robertson is taking a breather. Breakum says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Chris Robertson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Robertson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
