Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danger Cerrone (ranked 4668 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gladiatorus Romanus (ranked 4625 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Danger Cerrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gladiatorus Romanus!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone moves into range and connects with a jab.

Cerrone drops Romanus with a nice combination! Cerrone dives into Romanus's guard, looking to finish!
Cerrone is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Romanus has his foot on Cerrone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cerrone works his way back into a safe position though.
Cerrone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Romanus on the ground.

Romanus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cerrone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cerrone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cerrone with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Romanus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cerrone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cerrone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Cerrone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Romanus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cerrone has managed to get both his arms back between Romanus's legs - danger averted.

Romanus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cerrone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cerrone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Romanus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cerrone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Romanus's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cerrone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Romanus isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cerrone stacks Romanus on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cerrone!

Romanus is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cerrone off and has taken his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Romanus is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cerrone knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cerrone for a finish.

Romanus is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cerrone has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Romanus looking to break Cerrone's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Cerrone remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Romanus will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Romanus is looking for the choke from the back position but Cerrone is controlling his hands well.

Romanus is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Cerrone won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Romanus off his unconscious opponent!
