Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siliva takes one on the button.
It looks like Wanderson Siliva has been cut.
Sionis throws an overhand right that lands on Siliva's shoulder, as Siliva tries to avoid the shot.
Sionis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Siliva.
Siliva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sionis defends well and Siliva ends up having to push Sionis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Siliva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sionis pinned against the cage. Sionis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderson Siliva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Siliva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sionis to the mat! Sionis manages to get full guard.

Siliva shoots for a double leg takedown but Sionis sprawls well. He's pushed Siliva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sionis swings for the body but Siliva moves out of range.

Siliva tries to close the distance and clinch but Sionis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Siliva counters with a single leg into guard. Sionis didn't expect that.
Siliva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Siliva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sionis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Siliva has Sionis in his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Horrible takedown attempt by Siliva or perhaps it was just good defense by Sionis, which made it look bad.
Siliva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sionis to score with a decent uppercut.
