PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abdoulaye Diop Ndiaye (ranked 4610 p4p, 337 weight class) and Bobby Sands (ranked 3144 p4p, 284 weight class). Sands has chosen Irish Soldier Song ... Free & Green as his entrance music. Abdoulaye Diop Ndiaye had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Sands!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diop Ndiaye tries to clinch but Sands is having none of it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sands.
Sands scores with a jab.

Sands feints and as Diop Ndiaye raises his hands in defense, Sands changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sands slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Diop Ndiaye escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sands gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sands postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sands with a nice head shot there.
Sands lands a couple of elbows.

Diop Ndiaye is rocked!
Sands chips away with some ground and pound.
Oh Diop Ndiaye is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diop Ndiaye seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Sands looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sands arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Diop Ndiaye's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
