The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lastairman defends it nicely.
Despite the aggression on Lastairman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Deman lands a slapping body shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Deman or perhaps it was just good defense by Lastairman, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deman forces Lastairman back against the cage and clinches.
Nice body punch from Deman.

Lastairman keeps control of Deman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lastairman tries to throw a body punch but Deman avoids it by throwing Lastairman back against the cage.
Lastairman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Deman pulls guard successfully.
Deman working a defensive guard but Lastairman passes into half guard.
Deman preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Deman scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lastairman manages to mount him!

Lastairman avoids the attempt from Deman to control.
Deman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lastairman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Deman tries to improve his position but Lastairman has taken his back! Lastairman has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Deman tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lastairman pushes Deman away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
