Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Craig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nick Lucas Ii!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas Ii tries a head kick but it misses.
Nick Lucas Ii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucas Ii fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Lucas Ii is looking to slow Craig down with leg kicks.

Lucas Ii fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Craig, pushing him back against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Craig.

Lucas Ii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lucas Ii throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lucas Ii tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Craig manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Craig misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lucas Ii moves into range and clinches up with Craig.
Lucas Ii is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Craig is defending well.
Lucas Ii is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

It looks like Jason Craig has been cut.
Lucas Ii has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Craig avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jason Craig has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Lucas Ii.

Lucas Ii pulls guard.
Craig throwing strikes from guard but Lucas Ii blocks nicely.
Lucas Ii utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Craig is thwarting Lucas Ii's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucas Ii pushes Craig off looking to stand but Craig dives back in and keeps control.
Lucas Ii has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Craig is working away from the top position though.
Lucas Ii wants to improve his position but Craig is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Craig throwing shots but Lucas Ii is blocking nicely.
Lucas Ii is trying to get back to full guard.
Lucas Ii is trying to maintain the position but Craig is very close to passing his half guard.
Craig throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lucas Ii is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
No luck for Lucas Ii with that takedown attempt.
Craig wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Craig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lucas Ii, pushing him back against the cage.

Lucas Ii escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lucas Ii wants to clinch up but Craig keeps it at a distance.
Lucas Ii throws a head kick that Craig semi-blocks.

Lucas Ii closes the distance and pushes Craig back into the cage.
Craig leaning his opponent against the cage.
Lucas Ii tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Craig gets underhooks to prevent Lucas Ii's takedown attempt.
Lucas Ii tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Craig just stands there and leans against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Lucas Ii dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jason Craig's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Craig clinches with his opponent.
Lucas Ii fails to pull guard.

Lucas Ii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Craig goes for a double leg but Lucas Ii avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lucas Ii continues to drive forward.
Lucas Ii scores with a head kick.
Craig takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


Craig is rocked!
Craig wants to stay close but Lucas Ii steps back to make room for something. Craig seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Lucas Ii and Craig drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nick Lucas Ii!
