Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Karter (ranked 1618 p4p, 194 weight class) and Imperio Romano (ranked 2733 p4p, 300 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Imperio Romano!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Karter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Romano seems keen to control Karter's posture.
Karter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Romano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Romano knocks out Karter with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Romano before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Romano picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Imperio Romano!
