The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSilva jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Shah moves in looking to clinch but DeSilva pushes him off.
DeSilva scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Akbar Shah has been cut.
Shah looks to land a combination but DeSilva avoids it well.
DeSilva throws out a counter right but Shah avoids it with no problem.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that DeSilva has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Shah is rocked!
Shah bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Shah scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Shah moves out of range as DeSilva strikes.
DeSilva misses with a body shot.
Shah connects with the punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shah fakes high and swings low for a body shot but DeSilva manages to avoid it.

Oh, that's a big right hand from DeSilva and Shah goes tumbling to the canvas! DeSilva follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Oh Shah is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shah on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shah tries to get out of the position.
DeSilva lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Shah! More strikes land and this one is all over! DeSilva jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
