Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dalton McConnell (ranked 961 p4p, 120 weight class) and Manuel Neuer (ranked 700 p4p, 88 weight class). Manuel Neuer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnell misses with a lunging right hand
and Neuer counters with a single leg into guard. McConnell didn't expect that.
Neuer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Neuer drops back looking for a leg! McConnell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McConnell manages to kick Neuer off! Neuer jumps back into McConnell's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McConnell gets to his feet - Neuer follows without any prompting.

McConnell jabs Neuer to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McConnell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Neuer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McConnell is just riding it out for now. Neuer eventually gives up the hold.
McConnell is trying to maintain the position but Neuer is very close to passing his half guard.
Neuer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McConnell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Neuer.
McConnell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McConnell won't allow Neuer to pass to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McConnell is controlling Neuer's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Neuer seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. McConnell is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
