The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Cash.

Cash throws a big counter combination but Aokison scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Aokison connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cash. Cash circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Cash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aokison.
Cash swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Cash misses with an uppercut. Aokison saw that one coming.
Aokison is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Cash with a body shot.

Cash loads up on a big right hand but Aokison slips the punch.
Ryu Aokison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cash gets caught flat footed, as Aokison shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Cash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Aokison is fighting to break Cash's control of his arms but Cash is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Aokison has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cash has his foot on Aokison's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aokison works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aokison is pushing down on Cash's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cash is fighting to maintain full guard but Aokison has managed to sneak the leg through.

Aokison fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cash looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Cash counters with a nice right hand that sends Aokison toppling to the canvas! Aokison scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Cash finish him?!

and Cash counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
