Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximilian shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fuentes napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Maximilian trying to control the action but Fuentes is working from the bottom.
Maximilian moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Maximilian decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fuentes to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fuentes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Maximilian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fuentes seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Maximilian shoots in and gets a takedown into Fuentes's guard.
Fuentes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maximilian can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Maximilian throws an elbow that misses. Fuentes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Maximilian's guard. Nice move by Fuentes!
Fuentes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fuentes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fuentes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fuentes postures up in Maximilian's guard and throws a big left but Maximilian blocks it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fuentes tries a head kick but it misses.

Maximilian turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maximilian manages to end up in side control.

Fuentes throws a leg kick but Maximilian moved away.
Maximilian darts in and clinches Fuentes up against the cage.

Fuentes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maximilian is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fuentes, into his guard.
Fuentes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maximilian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fuentes jumps guard and drags Maximilian to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Maximilian is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Fuentes tries to pull guard but Maximilian holds him up against the cage and eventually Fuentes drops back down to his feet.

Fuentes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Maximilian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Maximilian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
