Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret Lane (ranked 24346 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Takei (ranked 4941 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Takei will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bret Lane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andy Takei!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takei throws a head kick that misses.
Lane is looking to counter punch.
Takei swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Lane counters with a takedown into side control.
Takei can't do much from the bottom here.

Lane tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Takei tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Takei, who protects the arm well.

Lane dives in and grabs Takei's left leg, looking for a takedown. Takei pushes down on Lane's head and hops out.

and Lane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Lane seems content to control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lane decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Takei throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A counter left hand to the body from Lane misses its target.
Takei scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lane blocks a leg kick.
Lane feinted with a counter takedown.

and Lane counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Lane has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Takei after a bit of a struggle.
Lane is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Takei to keep the fight standing.

Takei bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lane's head backwards.

Takei wants to get back to his feet but Lane is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
