Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raj Escobar (ranked 7072 p4p, 466 weight class) and Jai Hale (ranked 7230 p4p, 471 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jai Hale was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale staying out of range there.
Hale uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Escobar.
Hale uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Escobar.

Escobar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Escobar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Escobar throws a jab but it's blocked by Hale.

Hale has picked Escobar up - he's going for a ride! Hale dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hale working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hale darts in looking for a takedown but Escobar gets double underhooks and turns Hale into the cage.

Escobar lands a big uppercut and Hale crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hale looks OK. Escobar waves Hale back to his feet!

Raj Escobar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escobar fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hale on the side of the head.
Hale is still on wobbly legs! Can Escobar finish him?
