The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beornegar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Beornegar has Allen Schroeder up against the cage in a clinch.

Beornegar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Beornegar working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Beornegar lands an elbow.
Allen Schroeder pushes Beornegar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Beornegar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Allen Schroeder wants to control but Beornegar postures up.
Allen Schroeder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beornegar on the ground.
Beornegar lands some shots froms side control.

Beornegar cracks Allen Schroeder with a big right hand but Allen Schroeder just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beornegar is working to tighten his grip on Allen Schroeder's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Allen Schroeder has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Beornegar is really squeezing tight and eventually Allen Schroeder passes out! Beornegar breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
