The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darnold delivers a nice body kick.

Darnold closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Holloway tries to score a body lock takedown but Darnold shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Darnold escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Darnold tries to lock up and control but Holloway gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Holloway has Darnold pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Holloway pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Darnold tumbling to the mat - Holloway dives into Darnold's guard.
Holloway looking to sit in guard and control but Darnold gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
