Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benson Whyte (ranked 10 p4p, 2 weight class) and Marky Mark (ranked 32 p4p, 5 weight class). Whyte comes into the arena with Bob Marley - Jammin blaring out of the sound system. Mark is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Isä ei jätä. Benson Whyte has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marky Mark!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whyte misses with a lunging right hand
and Mark counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mark fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Whyte connects with an inside leg kick.
Whyte uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mark.
Mark scores with a punch to the head.
Mark dips to his left and cracks Whyte with an uppercut!
Whyte throws a hook but Mark blocks it.
It seemed like Mark was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Whyte on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Mark moves out of range as Whyte throws a body kick.
Mark throws a poor cross that misses
and Whyte counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mark has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Whyte missing with a left hand there. Mark was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Whyte ducks under a wild hook from Mark.
Mark with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Whyte to score with a decent uppercut.

and Mark counters with a crisp one two that drops Whyte! Mark thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Whyte to his feet! Whyte is in big trouble!

Whyte is rocked!
Whyte staying out of range there.
Oh Whyte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mark lands a big right hook! Whyte looks hurt but is still standing! Mark lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Whyte falls down and Mark dives in with a huge hammer fist! Whyte's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Mark runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marky Mark!
After the fight, Marky Mark was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
