Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kakashi Hatake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Max Engelmann!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engelmann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hatake sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Engelmann somewhat.
Engelmann swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Engelmann fails to land the takedown.
A right-left combo lands from Hatake.
Engelmann throws a one two combo.
Hatake connects with a body shot that sends Engelmann's belly button to the back.
Engelmann shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kakashi Hatake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Engelmann.
Hatake throws a body shot but no joy.
Engelmann feints the counter takedown.
Hatake connects with a right hand. Engelmann shakes it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hatake with a nice cross.
Hatake takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Engelmann slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hatake is rocked!
Engelmann tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hatake swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Hatake is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Engelmann tries a head kick but it misses.
Engelmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hatake tries to avoid it but Engelmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hatake to the ground. Hatake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hatake swings widly with a right hand
and Engelmann counters with a left right combination that sends Hatake crashing to the mat - Engelmann wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Hatake out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Engelmann!
