Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norberto Rivera (ranked 23727 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Amore (ranked 6514 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Norberto Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Hunter Amore!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amore misses the shot to the body.
Rivera tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Amore manages to circle out of the way.

Amore feints and as Rivera raises his hands in defense, Amore changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rivera is pulling down on Amore's head to control his posture.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Amore accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rivera pulls Amore in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rivera enables Amore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rivera manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Amore working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rivera is on top in guard.

Amore moves in looking to clinch but Rivera pushes him off.

Rivera has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Amore is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Amore is looking to break free of the clinch but Rivera has double underhooks.

Rivera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rivera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Amore is standing up over Rivera. Rivera looks to escape but Amore dives into side control.

A close round but Hunter Amore will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Amore closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rivera's guard.

Rivera is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Amore's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Amore's back!

Rivera is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Amore defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Rivera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rivera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rivera lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Amore is trying to remain composed but Rivera is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Rivera is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Amore presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

A slow jab from Amore misses its intended target.
Rivera attempts a counter takedown but Amore avoids it well and moves away.

Amore shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rivera is trying to defend but Amore finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hunter Amore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Amore has hold of Rivera's hands but Rivera slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Well Rivera has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
