Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rodrigo Augusto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Duff McKagan!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Augusto. No joy for McKagan on that attempt.
Augusto throws a big counter combination but McKagan scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Augusto with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Augusto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McKagan.
Augusto tries to counter by clinching up but McKagan breaks away and moves out of range.
We've been told by Augusto's head coaches at Shark Tank MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Augusto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Augusto forces McKagan back against the cage and clinches.
McKagan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rodrigo Augusto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duff McKagan.
Augusto manages to break the clinch.
McKagan looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
McKagan stands and throws Augusto's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Augusto's face as McKagan controls the position.
McKagan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Augusto, who protects the arm well.
McKagan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

McKagan tries to advance to mount but can't.
McKagan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Augusto is trying to escape and McKagan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Augusto is forced to tap! Nice work there by McKagan! Very nice indeed!
