Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Philip Ziskie (ranked 1262 p4p, 141 weight class) and Jargon Gin (ranked 1233 p4p, 136 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jargon Gin!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gin misses with a straight right.
Ziskie drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gin sprawls and moves away.
Gin throws out a loose jab but Ziskie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ziskie throws a big shot that misses.
Ziskie dives in and grabs Gin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gin pushes down on Ziskie's head and hops out.
Gin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Ziskie looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gin throws a head kick but Ziskie moves out of range.
Ziskie is looking to counter with a body kick.
Gin throws out a loose jab but Ziskie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ziskie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gin swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gin throws an overhand right that lands on Ziskie's shoulder, as Ziskie tries to avoid the shot.

Gin ducks straight into an uppercut from Ziskie and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Gin manages to regain guard straight away.


Gin is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ziskie landing with the ground and pound.
Gin is still in real trouble! Can Ziskie finish him?
Gin is looking to stand up but Ziskie isn't so interested in that idea.

Ziskie drops back looking for a leg! Gin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gin manages to kick Ziskie off! Ziskie jumps back into Gin's guard.
Gin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gin seems to have recovered his senses.
Ziskie sitting in guard here, content to control.
Gin wants to get back to his feet but Ziskie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gin lands a jab to Ziskie's midsection.
Gin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ziskie has time to react.


It looks like Philip Ziskie has been cut.
Gin tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Ziskie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ziskie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Gin misses with a hook. Ziskie ducked under it nicely.
Ziskie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gin looks to land a right hand but Ziskie moved out of range.

and Gin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ziskie takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Gin throws a series of punches but Ziskie avoids them all with ease.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ziskie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gin sprawls well. Gin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ziskie gets slowly back to his feet.

Jargon Gin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ziskie tries for a takedown but Gin circles away easily
and Gin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A telegraphed right hand from Gin misses the target.

Ziskie slips under a jab.
Ziskie changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Gin lands a nice shot that snaps Ziskie's head back.

Gin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gin thuds his right hand into Ziskie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ziskie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Gin throws an overhand right that lands on Ziskie's shoulder, as Ziskie tries to avoid the shot.

Gin steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ziskie.

Gin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ziskie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ziskie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ziskie manages to avoid it.

Ziskie closes the distance and clinches up with Gin, looking for a takedown. Ziskie pushes Gin against the ropes but Gin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gin loads up on a big right hand but Ziskie slips the punch.
Ziskie walks into a stiff left hand from Gin.
Jargon Gin seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ziskie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gin tries to avoid it but Ziskie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gin to the ground. Gin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ziskie appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Gin throws a hook but Ziskie avoids it easily.
Ziskie tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Gin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
