The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandis throws a right hand that Takeishi ducks under and follows up with a left that Takeishi also avoids with ease.
Brandis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takeishi.
Brandis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brandis misses with a hook to the body
and Takeishi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Brandis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Brandis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Takeishi ducks under a wild hook from Brandis.
Takeishi lands with a right hand.
Takeishi's corner calls for a 1-2. Takeishi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Brandis throws a nice looking combination but Takeishi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Takeishi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brandis tries to bum rush Takeishi with a series of wild strikes but Takeishi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Takeishi dodges the punch combination from Brandis.
Takeishi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
We've been told by Takeishi's head coaches at Arcalimon Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takeishi jabs Brandis to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Takeishi lands a nice shot that snaps Brandis's head back.


Brandis is rocked!
Brandis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Brandis is still on wobbly legs! Can Takeishi finish him?
BOOM! Takeishi lands a beautiful left hook that drops Brandis. Brandis tries to recover but Takeishi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Brandis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitsugu Takeishi!
Mitsugu Takeishi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Fletch Brandis was interviewed post fight and said 'I think I'm gonna drink a Miller Lite tonight and play some pool.'.
