The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali throws a hook to the side of Bunker's head but Bunker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bunker changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Ali uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bunker.

Bunker connects with a right hand. Ali shakes it off.
Ali throws an overhand right that lands on Bunker's shoulder, as Bunker tries to avoid the shot.
Bunker throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
It seemed like Ali was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bunker looking to score a takedown here. Ali is defending well but Bunker drives through and ends up in Ali's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bunker wants to pass the guard but Ali is keeping the position.

Ali had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bunker defends it easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Bunker's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bunker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ali defends well and Bunker ends up having to push Ali into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bunker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ali.
Ali keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Ali counters with a nice right hand that sends Bunker toppling to the canvas! Bunker scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ali finish him?!

Oh Bunker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A bone on bone clash there as Ali blocks the leg kick.
Ali pounces like a tiger and cracks Bunker with a vicious hook! Bunker is down but not out! Ali follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
