Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Harris (ranked 7278 p4p, 125 weight class) and Perdue Willshire (ranked 21182 p4p, 128 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perdue Willshire!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Willshire scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Harris manages to mount him!
Willshire is trying to escape the mount.
Harris controlling from mount.
Harris can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Willshire is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris landing shots from mount.

Willshire is trying desperately to improve position.
Harris controlling the pace for now.
Willshire is wriggling around trying to escape.
Willshire is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Willshire tries to hold on but Harris postures up.
Willshire is desperately trying to improve his position but Harris has a good base and remains in mount.

Willshire wants to get back to his feet.
Harris sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Willshire is trying to escape the mount.

Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Willshire is squirming around, avoiding Harris's attempts to control the action.
Willshire is working to get back to half guard.
Harris tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Harris trying to control but Willshire is having none of it.
Willshire is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Willshire doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?
Harris avoids the attempt from Willshire to control.
Harris controlling from the full mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Willshire is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Harris dominated that round.
That's time! Harris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Willshire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harris manages to avoid it.
Harris keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Willshire.
Willshire scores with a head kick. Harris tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Harris scores with a takedown into Willshire's guard.
Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Willshire can do to turn this around?
Harris stops Willshire from standing up.
Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Harris controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Harris takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
Harris won't allow Willshire to get back to his feet.
Willshire wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Willshire gets a clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Willshire tries to throw a body punch but Harris avoids it by throwing Willshire back against the cage.
Willshire stalls.

Harris turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Harris manages to end up in side control.
Willshire seems a little lost for a moment, as Harris dominates the positioning.
Harris tries to move to mount but Willshire blocks the move with his legs.
Willshire tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Willshire wants to control but Harris is having none of it.

Harris landing punches.
Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Willshire is in all sorts of trouble here.
Willshire tries to improve his position but instead Harris has taken his back!
Harris has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Willshire's body.

Willshire rolls, trying to escape but Harris keeps control of the position.
A lull in the action here.
Harris trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Willshire doesn't escape.
Willshire trying to get back to his feet but Harris is in full control for now.

Harris is hanging on to Willshire's back as he tries to escape.
Willshire is still trying to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Harris dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Willshire's corner calls for a 1-2. Willshire obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Harris takes one on the button.
Willshire is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Harris.
Willshire tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harris was well out of range. Poor timing from Willshire.
Harris attempts a counter takedown but Willshire avoids it well and moves away.
Willshire gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Harris counters with a lovely shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Willshire drives through with a takedown into Harris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Willshire is standing up over Harris. Harris looks to escape but Willshire dives into side control.

Harris gets back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris wants to get back to full guard.
Harris has hold of Willshire's hands but Willshire slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Willshire working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Harris makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Harris.

Harris looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Willshire looking to sit in guard and control but Harris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Harris stops Willshire from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Willshire wants to get back to his feet but Harris is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris is stalling in the full guard.
Willshire keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully.
Willshire is looking to stand back up but Harris counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Willshire.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Willshire is trying to escape back to his feet but Harris uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Willshire tries to escape but Harris is in control.
Harris trying to control the action but Willshire is working from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Willshire's face as Harris controls the position.
Perdue Willshire has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Harris has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Willshire!
Harris controlling his opponent.
Willshire sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Willshire is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Marcus Harris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Willshire is staying active underneath Harris, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Perdue Willshire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris stalks Willshire and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Willshire's face. Willshire staggers backwards, shaken.
Willshire throws a jab when Harris was well out of range.
Harris appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus Harris.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
