Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie White (ranked 1055 p4p, 140 weight class) and Franky Stanky (ranked 3296 p4p, 350 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by The Bleeding. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franky Stanky!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanky tries to clinch up.
Stanky takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Stanky closes the distance and pushes White back into the cage.
Stanky stops a takedown attempt from White.
White is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stanky is defending well.
White lands a hook that snaps the head of Stanky backwards.
White goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stanky prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie White. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stanky is trying to break the clinch but White has him pressed against the cage.
White dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Stanky wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

White has clasped his hands together around Stanky's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
White scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stanky to see if he's OK.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

White stands up.
Stanky tries to clinch but White moves out of range.
White is looking to counter punch.

Stanky tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

White fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stanky, pushing him back against the cage.

White gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Stanky wants to get back to his feet.
Stanky on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

White stands up from half guard.

Stanky has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short uppercut from White.
White looking for a takedown.
White lands a hook that snaps the head of Stanky backwards.
A right hook to the body lands for White.
Stanky prevents the takedown attempt.
I was talking to White's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stanky blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
White goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stanky prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White has Stanky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stanky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
White lands a left hand.
White lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Stanky is trying to force a seperation but White has the dominant position.
White goes for a takedown attempt but Stanky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Stanky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Franky Stanky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stanky loads up on a big right hand but White slips the punch.
Stanky tries to clinch there but White circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stanky looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
White scores with a leg kick.
Stanky wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance.
White closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stanky circles away.

White pushes Stanky up against the cage in a clinch.
White tries for a takedown. No joy.

White softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Stanky is trying to break the clinch but White is controlling him.
White goes for a takedown attempt but Stanky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Stanky clinches.

White gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
White stops Stanky from standing up.
White is in close to Stanky's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stanky can do anything to dispel that myth.
Stanky is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst White is controlling him.
White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Stanky wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.
Stanky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
White lands a couple of decent looking shots.
White working some strikes from top position.

White trying to control but Stanky is working from the bottom.
Stanky wants to stand but White is controlling the position.
White works over Stanky with some ground and pound from guard.
Stanky wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.
White controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
White working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stanky's head.
Stanky keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.
White stands up over Stanky, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stanky wants to stand but White is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronnie White dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Stanky gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ronnie White has scored more points in the clinch so far.
White lands with a light punch inside.
Stanky wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
White lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
White lands with a light punch inside.
White misses with a hook from the clinch.

Stanky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. White connects with a nice short shot to Stanky's temple.

White thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stanky's head.
Stanky wants to get back to his feet.
White moves into full mount! Stanky won't be happy about that!
Stanky is trying to stand.

White is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stanky has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stanky!
White lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

White wants to control from the top but Stanky keeps moving.
White working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
White pushes down on Stanky's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Stanky felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
White is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

White seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

White seems to be working for a kimura but Stanky defends the submission attempt.
Stanky avoiding damage under a succession of punches from White.
Stanky is trying to stand.
Ronnie White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stanky won't allow White to pass to mount.

White takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
White lands strikes from half guard.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
White landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.


Stanky is rocked!
White prevents Stanky from standing back up.
Stanky is still in real trouble! Can White finish him?
White looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
White slips a nice elbow through Stanky's hands, connecting with Stanky's forehead.
White not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Stanky wants to get back to his feet.
Nice strikes from White there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ground and pound from White.
White lands a big elbow - Stanky is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for White!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronnie White!
A very excited looking Ronnie White made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
