Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Khuchtei Bokhchuud (ranked 2888 p4p, 147 weight class) and John McCain (ranked 3751 p4p, 185 weight class). Bokhchuud comes to the cage accompanied by ErgeSholee Biste Turda. McCain is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Anywhere I Go. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John McCain!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bokhchuud swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McCain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A left lands for McCain.


It looks like Khuchtei Bokhchuud has been cut.
McCain throws the left hand but Bokhchuud avoids the punch easily.
Bokhchuud tries to clinch up.
McCain throws a counter combo.

Bokhchuud drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

McCain is looking for a triangle here but Bokhchuud uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Bokhchuud is staying tight to McCain's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Bokhchuud working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
McCain avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bokhchuud.

McCain drops back looking for a leg! Bokhchuud is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bokhchuud manages to kick McCain off! McCain jumps back into Bokhchuud's guard.

Bokhchuud's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bokhchuud throws a push kick but McCain slaps the foot to one side.
A countering left hand to the body from McCain misses.
Bokhchuud is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Bokhchuud closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bokhchuud lands in his opponent's guard.

McCain looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McCain is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bokhchuud defends well.

McCain has an active guard here but Bokhchuud has managed to pass into half guard.

McCain felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Bokhchuud fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCain sprawls well initially but Bokhchuud persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

McCain looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
McCain is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bokhchuud jumps into side control!

It looked like Bokhchuud was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Bokhchuud appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Bokhchuud drives through with a takedown into McCain's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

McCain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bokhchuud gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McCain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bokhchuud defends it easily.

Bokhchuud has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McCain to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bokhchuud is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McCain pulls down on the head and he's put Bokhchuud to sleep! This one is all over!
