Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fart Minarsich (ranked 4618 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raanta Runtiringeni (ranked 3650 p4p, 0 weight class). Raanta Runtiringeni will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runtiringeni tries to close the distance and clinch but Minarsich swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Minarsich scores with a takedown into Runtiringeni's guard.

Runtiringeni has his foot on Minarsich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Minarsich works his way back into a safe position though.

Runtiringeni had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Minarsich defends it easily.
Minarsich could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Runtiringeni throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Runtiringeni is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Minarsich trying to control the position from guard on top but Runtiringeni is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Runtiringeni manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Minarsich manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Minarsich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Runtiringeni passes Minarsich's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Runtiringeni lands a nice short elbow.
