The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos drops Pending with a nice combination! Santos dives into Pending's guard, looking to finish!
Santos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Pending has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Santos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pending.
Santos takes a little break here. Pending wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Santos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Santos continues to stall.
Santos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pending gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Pending tries to hold on but Santos pushes him away.
Santos takes Pending's back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Pending has hold of Santos's leg, trying to break free but it's let Santos lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Pending is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Santos throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
