Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norman Mccoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xilef Xenox!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccoy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Xenox was well out of range. Poor timing from Mccoy.
Xenox falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mccoy counters by moving into the clinch.
Mccoy lands a damaging elbow.
Mccoy works on Xenox's body with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A frustrated look appears on Mccoy's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xenox keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mccoy's efforts to push away.

Mccoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mccoy throws a lazy head kick
and Xenox counters with a left and a right... And another left! Mccoy is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xilef Xenox!
Xilef Xenox was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
