The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biggims shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Biggims stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cross swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Biggims drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cross dives on top into guard.

Cross with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cross cracks Biggims with a solid left hand.
Biggims has a closed guard, preventing Cross from standing up.
Cross gets to his feet - Biggims follows without any prompting.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Biggims misses with a two punch combination.
Biggims closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cross breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Biggims has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Biggims feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Biggims has gone for a leg lock! Cross slips out almost immediately though and dives into Biggims's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cross accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
