The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machacek throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Len Guerrero has been cut.

Machacek throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Guerrero tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Machacek is in Guerrero's guard.
Guerrero is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Machacek is looking to work some ground and pound but Guerrero has wrist control.
Guerrero wants to stand and escape but Machacek is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Guerrero is on top in guard.

Guerrero stands and steps away. Machacek gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Guerrero decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Machacek shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Guerrero manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Guerrero really is a fat lump.

Guerrero is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Guerrero tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Machacek's elbow.
Guerrero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Machacek just stands there and leans against the cage.
Guerrero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Machacek walks away with a smile on his face. Guerrero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Machacek lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Guerrero circles away quickly and effectively.

Guerrero changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machacek looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Machacek bucks up and tries to throw Guerrero off but instead Guerrero has got his back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Guerrero is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Machacek trying to get back to his feet but Guerrero is in full control for now.

Guerrero has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Machacek! Can he survive? No! He's out! Guerrero gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
