Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Caio Barbosa (ranked 2239 p4p, 112 weight class) and Klaus Chugman (ranked 1792 p4p, 97 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Caio Barbosa! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Klaus Chugman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Barbosa dives in for a single leg takedown but Chugman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Chugman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barbosa to the mat! Barbosa manages to get full guard.
Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Barbosa (0) vs (2) Chugman
Chugman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barbosa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barbosa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barbosa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chugman is working away from the top position though.
Chugman is taking a breather. Barbosa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Chugman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Barbosa is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Klaus Chugman!
