Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tobias Pancake (ranked 15837 p4p, 567 weight class) and Bjj Steel (ranked 19928 p4p, 556 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 15 losses; Tobias Pancake! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 8 losses; Bjj Steel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Steel.

Pancake instigates a clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pancake haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Steel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pancake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Steel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pancake's guard.

Steel is looking to stall here but Pancake recovers full guard.
Steel passes Pancake's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pancake tries to get to full guard but Steel has control of the leg.

Pancake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Steel's guard.

Pancake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pancake has managed to get both his arms back between Steel's legs - danger averted.

Pancake is trying to work for a kimura but Steel is defending well.
Pancake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Steel tries to roll over but Pancake keeps him under control.

Pancake is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Steel is not content to let Pancake control the position.

Steel is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Pancake has latched onto it... Big trouble! Pancake pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Steel is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Pancake!

A less than humble Tobias Pancake misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
