Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Hines (ranked 4893 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ JiuJitsu (ranked 4884 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micheal Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JJ JiuJitsu!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hines fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. JiuJitsu sprawls well initially but Hines persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

JiuJitsu kicks off Hines and gets to his feet.
JJ JiuJitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
JiuJitsu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hines displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from JiuJitsu.

Hines looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for JiuJitsu!
This has been an exciting period of action!
JiuJitsu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
JiuJitsu missing with punches from the bottom.
JiuJitsu manages to get to full guard.

Hines lands a couple of elbows.
JiuJitsu has his hands on Hines's head, controlling the position.
JiuJitsu looking for a sweep. Not yet JiuJitsu, not yet.
Hines prevents JiuJitsu from getting back to his feet.

JiuJitsu pushes Hines off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

JiuJitsu looks to throw the jab but Hines is out of range.

Hines clinches with his opponent.
JiuJitsu is trying to drag Hines to the mat but Hines just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Micheal Hines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ JiuJitsu.

Hines pulls guard effortlessly.
Hines trying to strike off his back.
JiuJitsu sitting in guard here, content to control.
Hines wants to stand and escape but JiuJitsu is having none of it.
Hines wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and JiuJitsu manages to pass to side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hines pushes JiuJitsu off looking to stand but JiuJitsu dives back in and keeps control.
JiuJitsu winds up and cracks Hines with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

JiuJitsu decides to stand up.
JiuJitsu is looking to clinch but Hines is avoiding it.
Hines swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
JiuJitsu is looking to take this one to the mat.
Hines is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. JiuJitsu is defending well for now.

Hines pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
JiuJitsu shoots for a takedown but Hines saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
JiuJitsu shoots in looking for a takedown. Hines tries to sprawl out of it but JiuJitsu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hines manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hines is looking to counter the offense by JiuJitsu and move into the clinch.
JiuJitsu throws a sloppy head kick and Hines moves out of range easily.
It looked like Hines wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Hines closes the distance and pushes JiuJitsu back into the cage.

Hines manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
JiuJitsu stops Hines from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Micheal Hines will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


JiuJitsu throws a leg kick that misses.

JiuJitsu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hines napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hines pushes JiuJitsu away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, JiuJitsu gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Hines tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but JiuJitsu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
JiuJitsu misses with the ground and pound.

JiuJitsu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Hines has managed to clinch.
JiuJitsu goes for a takedown attempt but Hines pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hines gets a clinch.

Hines drags the fight down to the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hines wants to stand and escape but JiuJitsu is having none of it.
JiuJitsu slips nicely into half guard.
Hines is trying to stand up here but JiuJitsu is controlling him well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with JiuJitsu in particular looking to stall.
JiuJitsu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hines knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hines tries to kick JiuJitsu off but JiuJitsu keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
JiuJitsu is trying to control. Hines wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
JiuJitsu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Hines makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Hines closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hines gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from JiuJitsu.
JiuJitsu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
JiuJitsu wants to break free but Hines has control.

Hines breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
JiuJitsu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Micheal Hines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ JiuJitsu.
JiuJitsu misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
JiuJitsu tries for a takedown but Hines sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
JJ JiuJitsu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hines misses with a straight right.

JiuJitsu gets tackled into the cage by Hines. Hines maintains the clinch.
Hines prevents JiuJitsu from breaking the clinch.
JiuJitsu tries to pull guard but Hines won't allow it.

Hines breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
JiuJitsu tries to clinch but Hines is having none of it.
JiuJitsu shoots in for a double leg but Hines sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hines looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

JiuJitsu manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hines keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hines prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hines scores with a knee to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hines pulls guard effortlessly.
Hines is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
JiuJitsu is pushing down on Hines's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hines is fighting to maintain full guard but JiuJitsu has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hines looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hines moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

JiuJitsu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hines manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hines tries to counter by moving into the clinch but JiuJitsu manages to circle out of the way.

Hines is striking from the bottom but JiuJitsu uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Hines is controlling an arm, preventing JiuJitsu from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Hines is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

JiuJitsu with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hines is in a horrible position here. JiuJitsu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
JiuJitsu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hines is looking to escape.
JJ JiuJitsu has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hines is trying to stand but he's just given JiuJitsu his back.

Hines is trying to defend against the choke here but JiuJitsu has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. JiuJitsu Tightens the hold and Hines taps out furiously! JiuJitsu displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
