Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bertram Taylor (ranked 6978 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Dom (ranked 6353 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesse Dom looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bertram Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesse Dom!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dom has managed to clinch.
Taylor doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Taylor fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dom looking for a takedown.
Taylor slows down the pace here.
Taylor tries to pull guard but Dom holds him up against the cage and eventually Taylor drops back down to his feet.

Taylor jumps guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dom slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Taylor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dom defends it easily.
Taylor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Taylor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Dom controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Dom drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dom jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dom works over Taylor's head and body with a nice combination.

Dom throws a right hand that Taylor ducks under and follows up with a left that Taylor also avoids with ease.
Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dom circles away.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Taylor is nestled in close to Dom, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Taylor connects with a nice short shot to Dom's temple.

Taylor thows a huge punch but Dom dodges it nicely.

Dom manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Taylor is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dom enables Taylor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dom manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Taylor shoots in looking for a takedown but Dom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Taylor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dom shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Dom keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bertram Taylor will probably get the nod.
That's time! Taylor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dom's waist but Dom gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side.
Dom is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Dom takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Dom sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dom tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Taylor lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dom down.

Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dom swivels and escapes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Taylor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
