Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Odom (ranked 4844 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Duck (ranked 4842 p4p, 446 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odom tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Duck drives through with a takedown into guard.
Duck won't allow Odom to sweep him here.

Duck throws a head kick that misses.
Odom changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Duck shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Odom eats them both and turns towards Duck to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Duck shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Odom napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Duck has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Duck is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Odom knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Odom for a finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duck is persistently looking for the submission but Odom is defending it well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Duck feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Odom isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Duck stacks Odom on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Duck!

Well Duck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
