Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sake Chu (ranked 2018 p4p, 227 weight class) and Alexi Laiho (ranked 3056 p4p, 297 weight class). Chu comes to the cage accompanied by Daughtry - Renegade. Laiho has chosen Cold Sweat/ Thin Lizzy as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laiho throws a big shot that misses.
Laiho shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nice takedown defense from Chu. No joy for Laiho on that attempt.
Laiho lands with an uppercut that bounces Chu off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Sake Chu has been cut.

Chu looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Chu lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Laiho tries to move into range but Chu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Laiho misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Laiho cracks Chu with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Laiho lands with a hook. Chu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Chu lands with a thumping leg kick.

Chu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laiho was well out of range. Poor timing from Chu.

and Chu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Laiho shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chu is trying to defend but Laiho finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chu gets caught napping as Laiho dives in and scores a takedown. Chu manages to retain guard.
Chu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Laiho postures up in Chu's guard and throws a big left but Chu blocks it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chu is on top in guard.
Laiho is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Laiho has his foot on Chu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chu works his way back into a safe position though.
Laiho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Laiho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chu defends it easily.
Chu is posturing up here but Laiho has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Chu tries to roll out but it's too tight and Chu has to tap! Slick submission there by Laiho!
