Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marky Mark (ranked 31 p4p, 5 weight class) and Bryer McGuire (ranked 10 p4p, 3 weight class). Mark comes to the cage accompanied by Isä ei jätä. McGuire has chosen Nothing More - Go To War as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marky Mark!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryer McGuire!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Mark. Those never looked like landing.
Mark scores with a jab.
Mark throws the left hand but McGuire avoids the punch easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from McGuire! But no joy.
Mark looks to land a right hand but McGuire moved out of range.
Mark throws a right hand that misses
and McGuire counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mark thinking.
Mark throws a left and a right that both miss
and McGuire counters with a thumping low kick.
McGuire misses with an uppercut
and Mark counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice defenses there by McGuire.
McGuire slips a jab and a cross from Mark.
Marky Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mark throws a right hand that McGuire ducks under and follows up with a left that McGuire also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mark throws a body shot but no joy.
McGuire swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mark throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McGuire ducks under a wild hook from Mark.
Mark stuns McGuire with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Mark works McGuire's body with a nice hook.
Mark keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McGuire.
The fighters circling - McGuire throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McGuire tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mark paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A head kick misses from McGuire.
McGuire ducks under a wild hook from Mark.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGuire uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mark.
Mark blocks a head kick by McGuire.
A counter left hand to the body from Mark misses its target.
Mark misses with a straight right.
Mark misses with a hook.
It seemed like McGuire was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGuire moves away.
McGuire throws a looping overhand right but Mark ducks down to avoid it.
McGuire ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mark moves away.
McGuire takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big left from Mark misses.
Mark really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGuire is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.


It looks like Marky Mark has been cut.
McGuire takes a body punch but keeps moving.
McGuire misses with a left hand
and Mark counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mark misses with a series of wild punches.
McGuire looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Mark tests McGuire's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mark connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGuire. McGuire circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McGuire uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mark.
McGuire swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mark ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Good shot there by Mark.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mark throws a leg kick but McGuire sees it coming and moves out of range.
McGuire lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
McGuire misses with an uppercut.
Mark scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marky Mark dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Marky Mark's cut.
That's time! Mark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Mark scores with a jab. McGuire acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
McGuire blocks a head kick by Mark.
Mark throws a sloppy head kick
and McGuire counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mark is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McGuire.
Mark takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mark swings and misses with a shot to the body
and McGuire counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but McGuire might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Mark has got the better of the exchanges.
McGuire drops Mark with a big left hand! Mark is injured, injured bad! McGuire jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryer McGuire! Bryer McGuire retains his light heavyweight title!
An out of breath Bryer McGuire thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
