The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickson takes one to the side of the head.
Ishimura feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hickson's calf.
Hickson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ishimura circles away.
Ishimura cracks Hickson with an open hand slap.

It looks like Bobby Hickson has been cut.
Hickson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hickson fails with the takedown.
Kosuke Ishimura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hickson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ishimura tries to sprawl out of it but Hickson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ishimura manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Hickson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hickson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hickson shoots in but no luck this time.
Ishimura lands a glancing blow to the side of Hickson's head.
Ishimura throws an overhand right that drops Hickson like a sack of potatoes! Ishimura dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
