Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Jenkins (ranked 4844 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodimus Prime (ranked 4161 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodimus Prime has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nigel Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rodimus Prime!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins clinches up with Prime and pushes him back against the cage.
Jenkins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Jenkins successfully pulls guard.
Jenkins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prime is one step ahead there.
Prime is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Prime postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prime content to stall in guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Prime looking to pass the guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Prime missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jenkins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Prime.
Jenkins tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Prime defends well and Jenkins ends up having to push Prime into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jenkins slaps away a takedown attempt from Prime, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Prime darts in looking for a takedown but Jenkins gets double underhooks and turns Prime into the cage.

Jenkins has Prime up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Prime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jenkins shoots in and gets a takedown into Prime's guard.
Jenkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jenkins wants to stand and escape but instead Prime has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Jenkins working for a triangle but Prime defends it easily.
Jenkins controls Prime momentarily but Prime frees himself.
Jenkins looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Prime puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins manages to get to full guard.
Prime keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jenkins's head.
Prime tries to free his leg and advance position but Jenkins is retaining full guard.
Prime is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Prime throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jenkins keeping moving, preventing Prime from controlling successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jenkins trying to strike off his back.
Jenkins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Prime is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Prime gets to his feet - Jenkins follows without any prompting.

Prime throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Prime is in Jenkins's guard.
Jenkins is looking to stand back up but Prime counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jenkins.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Prime seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rodimus Prime will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jenkins shoots in but no luck this time.

Jenkins feints and as Prime raises his hands in defense, Jenkins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Prime scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Prime moves into the clinch successfully.
Prime with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Prime will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jenkins up against the cage.

Prime jumps guard.
Jenkins works over Prime with some ground and pound from guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jenkins postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenkins connects with a couple of short punches.

Prime is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jenkins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jenkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jenkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Prime is retaining full guard.
Jenkins lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jenkins won't allow Prime to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins gets to his feet - Prime follows without any prompting.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Prime is having none of it.
Prime raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Jenkins shoots in but no luck this time.

Prime closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Prime lands in his opponent's guard.
Prime throws a big right hand that misses.
Jenkins keeping full guard, as Prime tries to pass.
Prime is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Prime won't allow Jenkins to get back to his feet.
Jenkins throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Prime trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jenkins.
Prime takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Jenkins has closed the distance and engaged Prime in a clinch.

Prime drags the fight down to the ground.
Jenkins trying to control but Prime is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins stands up over Prime, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Prime keeps moving.
Jenkins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Prime is keeping the position for now.

Prime has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jenkins has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Prime is trying to pull guard but Jenkins has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodimus Prime showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Prime dives in for a single leg takedown but Jenkins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Prime tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jenkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Prime shoots in looking for a takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl out of it but Prime keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jenkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jenkins throws a front kick aimed at Prime's knee but Prime avoids it well.
A shot to the liver by Prime. Beautiful body shot.
Jenkins has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Prime.

Prime fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jenkins to the ground. Prime is now in Jenkins's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jenkins looking for subs off his back but Prime has passed one foot through into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Prime wants to work for an arm triangle but Jenkins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Prime seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jenkins wants to control but Prime is keeping busy.
Jenkins is refusing to be controlled, as Prime sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Prime not doing much here.
Jenkins is trying to maintain the position but Prime is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Prime moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Prime tries to sprawl but Jenkins drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Prime wants to stand back up but Jenkins manages to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Jenkins is putting a hurting on Prime here, landing some big shots from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prime is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Jenkins connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Prime some visible discomfort.
Prime wants to control but Jenkins postures up.
Jenkins cracks Prime with a big elbow.

Prime tries to escape but Jenkins is in control.
Prime prevents Jenkins from improving position.
Prime is trying to control Jenkins's posture but Jenkins avoids it.
Jenkins scoring with punches and elbows.
Jenkins working the head with strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jenkins trying to control the action but Prime is working from the bottom.
Nigel Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rodimus Prime is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Rodimus Prime.
I've got Prime winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
