The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petiot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It seemed like Petiot was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dacre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dacre looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Petiot is looking to reverse the position.
Dacre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Petiot's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Petiot tries to improve position but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petiot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dacre thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Petiot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Petiot tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dacre goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Petiot rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dacre's guard! Nice work there by Petiot!
Dacre has a closed guard, preventing Petiot from standing up.
Dacre has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Petiot should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Dacre has tightened it up now! Petiot should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
