Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Furnum Pullum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Newbie Guide!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pullum closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guide circles away.
Guide lands with an uppercut that bounces Pullum off the cage and back into range.
Pullum avoids the body shot from Guide.
Guide with a hook.
It looks like Furnum Pullum has been cut.
Guide misses the jab.
Pullum fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pullum fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Guide, pushing him back against the cage.
Guide breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Guide misses with an uppercut.
Pullum throwing a counter right hand but Guide manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guide takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Newbie Guide has been cut.
Guide fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pullum on the side of the head.
A slow jab from Guide misses its intended target.
Pullum jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Guide swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guide ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Guide misses with a wild body shot.
Guide lands a head shot.
Guide lands a right hook to the body.
Pullum drops his hands momentarily and Guide takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pullum throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Guide counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nice straight punches there by Guide. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Guide.
Furnum Pullum's cut is getting worse.
Guide with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Pullum is breathing heavily.
Pullum slips a jab and a cross from Guide.
Guide lands a big right hand that sends Pullum crashing to the mat! Guide stays standing though and waves Pullum back to his feet!
Pullum is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pullum drops his hands momentarily. Guide doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Pullum staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Pullum doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Newbie Guide!
