The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz has his takedown stuffed
and Wawelski counters with a nice body kick.
Wawelski stalks Cruz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cruz's face. Cruz staggers backwards, shaken.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wawelski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cruz.
The fighters are battling for position here. Wawelski manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Cruz wants to control from the top but Wawelski keeps moving.
Cruz prevents Wawelski from getting back to his feet.

Cruz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cruz content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Wawelski has locked up a guillotine! Wawelski's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Cruz is holding on here and Wawelski must be using up a lot of energy. Cruz has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Wawelski gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

A relieved looking Kosma Wawelski thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
