PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Black (ranked 3340 p4p, 163 weight class) and KG Testerton (ranked 6212 p4p, 235 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Thug for Life. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, KG Testerton!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black shoots in and gets a takedown into Testerton's guard.

Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Testerton on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Testerton is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Testerton gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Testerton gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Testerton apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Black looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Black is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Black seems to be looking for submissions.
Black looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Black working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Testerton's thigh. Testerton counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Black slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

KG Testerton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Black is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Testerton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Testerton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Black has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Testerton has managed to get both his arms back between Black's legs - danger averted.

I would just about give that final round to KG Testerton.
Well Testerton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
